Christine Wilson Foundation
Within a short period of time after Christine Wilson’s death, a few of Christine’s neighbors and the Wilson family decided to form a charitable, non profit 501 C 3 foundation in Christine’s memory. They wanted to turn the tragedy into something positive for the community – and they wanted to do it in Christine’s name. With that, the Christine Wilson Foundation was born. The Christine Wilson Foundation has supported several local causes over the years, including The Burn Unit at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, the Childhood League of Columbus, Miracle League, Willow Ridge Therapeutic Riding Stable, The Manger Store thru the Journey Church in Dublin, The Burn Unit at OSU Hospital, Christie’s Place, Bishop Watterson, St. Brendan School and Wexner’s Children’s Concert. The Christine Wilson Foundation’s most noteworthy fundraiser is Christine’s Christmas.
“Christine’s Christmas is one of the finest events my company, Eastway Supplies, has ever supported. I am continually impressed by the talent of Mark King, the professionalism of the performers and the dedication of the volunteer Board. We are proud that our 13 year relationship with Christine’s Christmas has helped raise over $850,000 for children’s charities in Columbus.”
– Gary Glanzman, President and CEO, Eastway Supplies,Inc.
“As owner and President of Dublin Cleaners, I have been a long-time supporter of Christine’s Christmas. Our six stores and twelve delivery routes post promotions on every order each customer receives for the month of November each year and we contribute a large cash sponsorship. I am dazzled by the event the board puts on.”
– Brian Butler, Owner and President of Dublin Cleaners
“As an owner of The Old Trail Printing Company, I have been a long-time supporter of Christine’s Christmas. The annual event that the board puts on in December continues to provide major support for the Christine Wilson Burn Center at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The board’s original goal was to raise $500,000 for the hospital, and that was achieved two years ahead of schedule due to the hard work and dedication of the fourteen member board of directors. This group of volunteers exhibited remarkable passion and commitment in order to make that happen.”
– Michael Held, Owner of The Old Trail Printing Company
